Overview:
•This position is
Hybrid:
mostly on-site with flexibility to work remotely as needed.•
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. Evenings and weekends as needed.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Health Education Associate I's responsibilities include conducting outreach activities, identifying community resources, delivering individual and or group health education services, distributing outreach materials, directly contacting targeted community members. Responsible for data collection, as needed, for program evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
1+ year of related experience. Local travel to events required and must be able to lift and transport items to community events. General knowledge of family systems, health and safety, and parent education are a must. Live scan required as applicable per county contract. Obtain BLS certification within the first 2 months of employment as applicable per county contract.
Preferred:
Experience in community outreach/health education. Bilingual in English/Spanish. Completion of the Division of HIV and STD Programs (DHSP) Basic 1 Test Counselor training.
Education/Licensure/Certifications:
College education preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Pay Scale Information:
CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
