  • Friday) | No nights, weekends, or holidays! Adagio Health Inc is looking to hire a full-time Health Educator
  • Tobacco for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, with headquarters at the Pittsburgh, PA central office.
This role is a flexible, hybrid position with daylight hours. Generous IRS-rate mileage reimbursement as travel is required.
DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEALTH EDUCATOR

As a Health Educator, you will immerse yourself in the diverse neighborhoods of Allegheny County to share transformative programs on tobacco education, awareness, and cessation. You will help individuals connect with resources to support them in living healthier lives and provide education, tools, and cessation services to communities, local organizations, schools, and other institutions. Collaboration and equity are at the heart of your mission as you foster relationships with these groups, mobilize youth to advocate for policy change, enact tobacco and nicotine free policies, and plan educational sessions and community events. Your exceptional communication skills allow you to share the latest research and industry best practices to diverse audiences to create a call to action and a shared vision for a healthier, more vibrant community.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGIONAL HEALTH EDUCATOR
  • TOBACCO Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, health education or related field.
Two years' experience working in community health or related setting. Strong verbal and organizational skills required. Must be able to work with diverse individual and institutional constituencies. Must commit to being smoke-free. Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license are required for travel throughout Allegheny County. | Travel required.

A Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent military training, healthcare certifications, and community engagement leadership will be highly valued
