The compensation for this position will be contracted to be paid per period of instruction. This position is not remote. Positions are on-site, face-to-face, and work hours might occur during normal business hours or on evenings and weekends. This position will remain open until filled.
DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of program manager, the educator will provide education and implement activities for various areas in the Childbirth Education Program. Responsibilities include but not limited to: independently manage the class and course, provide education in area of expertise; educate on program options, and attend meetings as required. Provides recommendations to program manager for improvements. Performs other related duties as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Certified Child Birth Educator. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Three (3) or more years of relevant experience. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience. Distance Teaching Proficiency (Zoom). Thorough knowledge of the subject matter and field. Highly skilled with the development and delivery of clinical instruction or health education programs and services. Thorough knowledge of the program design and delivery. Highly effective interpersonal skills to lead diverse student / learner groups. Effective organizational skills. Highly effective communication skills. Ability to evaluate and assesses instruction based on defined success indicators. Demonstrates comfort and effectiveness in public speaking and knowledge of adult learning theory, customer service, excellent communication, interpersonal, and group skills. Displays appropriate judgement and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Doula, CLE or IBCLC. Certified Lactation Educator. First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. Newborn care experience.
