Job Description

Job Title Educator Preparation Coordinator Department Professional Lab Field Experiences Salary $49,942 - $61,678; commensurate with experience Job Summary/Basic Function The Educator Preparation Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking enrollment in a non-traditional educator preparation program and individuals seeking Admission to Teacher Education (ATE). They will provide guidance to school districts, faculty/staff, and others with questions related to educator preparation programs, licensure, and other Office of Educator Preparation and Licensure responsibilities. Serve as back-up for all administrative, clerical and bookkeeping tasks as time allows. Perform other related tasks and projects, as assigned. Required Education Bachelor's degree required. Degree in education related field preferred. Required Related Experience Bachelor's degree and three years progressively responsible project management and/or clerical/administrative office experience - OR- Master's degree and one year of progressively responsible project management and/or clerical/administrative office experience. Desirable Related Experience Familiarity with university and state platforms (e.g., Banner, Student Learning & Licensure, TNCompass, websites, etc.). Prior experience working with school personnel and/or teacher candidates, handling personal identifiable or confidential records (e.g., background checks, transcripts).
