RWC is a vibrant and supportive senior living community committed to enhancing the well-being and quality of life for our residents. We offer a variety of wellness programs designed to keep our residents active, engaged, and independent. We are currently seeking a compassionate and energetic Fitness Specialist to join our wellness team.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and leading group exercise classes (e.g., stretching, balance, strength, chair yoga, water aerobics). Provide one-on-one fitness support or guidance to residents and Living Well members as needed. Set up and maintain exercise equipment and fitness areas. Monitor participants during classes to ensure safety and correct form. Encourage participation and build positive relationships with residents. Collaborate with wellness team members to develop new programs or events. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in all wellness areas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in fitness or exercise science preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Prior experience working with seniors or in a wellness/fitness setting is a plus. Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor. Ability to lead low- to moderate-impact fitness activities. Excellent communication and motivational skills. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and assist residents as needed.
