If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at HOPE (Holistic Approach to Obesity Prevention and Education). You will have a set schedule, no weekends, and the opportunity to be creative in a fun, collaborative atmosphere. This is a unique opportunity to teach using a non-traditional approach to nutrition services. HOPE's primary mission is focused on a holistic approach to pediatric obesity prevention and education. We are a multicultural organization passionate about our clients and their families, and committed to creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every family feels valued and empowered. The right candidate will work with our Behavioral Health & Fitness departments to provide clients with the tools they need to be successful in our program. The candidate will lead the Nutrition department, ensuring all services align with the mission of the agency and departmental goals are met monthly. You will demonstrate strong collaboration, writing, speaking, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines, multitask, thrive in a busy environment, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality. This role also requires providing holistic and comprehensive case management services as needed. You will conduct two 30-minute group sessions daily (Monday-Thursday) for clients and their families, working in partnership and shared accountability with other team members to achieve HOPE's mission, guiding principles, and goals. Nutrition Education and Counseling Provide personalized nutrition guidance to pediatric clients and their families using a holistic and non-traditional approach. Design and deliver engaging educational workshops focused on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and mindful eating. Program Development and Implementation Collaborate with the Behavioral Health and Fitness departments to develop comprehensive nutrition plans tailored to individual client needs. Create innovative teaching methods to engage clients in learning about nutrition and its role in overall health. Client Support and Monitoring Support clients in achieving their health goals through regular follow-ups and progress assessments. Address barriers to healthy eating and provide strategies to overcome them. Team Collaboration Actively participate in team meetings to ensure integration of nutrition services with behavioral and fitness programs. Share insights and contribute ideas to enhance program effectiveness. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of client progress, session notes, and program outcomes. Provide regular reports and feedback to the program director on client and program performance. Professional Development and Creativity Stay updated on the latest trends and research in nutrition and pediatric obesity prevention. Bring creative and innovative ideas to the program, fostering a fun and collaborative atmosphere. Requirements 2 years preferred in Health & Wellness, Nutrition field or related field Bilingual strongly encouraged to apply Knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health Familiarity with health coaching techniques to promote lifestyle changes Previous experience working with all ages and cultural backgrounds highly desirable Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a small team effectively Excellent communication skills for educating clients and collaborating with a team Passion for promoting healthy lifestyles through effective health practices Monday-Thursday, 2pm-8pm (Part-Time)
