noJOB DESCRIPTION
The Perioperative Services Educator plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs for Perioperative services and central sterile areas. This position works with department managers to plan and assist with monthly staff educational needs, plans out education yearly, and coordinates and tracks competency progress for new staff. The Perioperative Services Educator coordinates and tracks training and competency for new equipment, and conducts yearly skills competency tracking for staff.EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required.EXPERIENCE
Minimum of Three years of continuous nursing experience, with Perioperative Services experience strongly preferred. Previous teaching or staff development experience strongly preferred.LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
Current Washington State RN license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire.BENEFITS INFORMATION
