Windows ICD-10 Records management Medical records CPT coding Health information management Medical terminology Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Manager to oversee the management of health information systems and ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and security of medical records. This role is vital in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and enhancing the quality of patient care through effective data management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and the operations of a medical office. Responsibilities Manage and supervise the health information department to ensure efficient operations. Oversee the collection, storage, and retrieval of patient health information. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and other privacy laws. Develop and implement policies and procedures for managing medical records. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices. Train staff on health information systems and best practices in record management. Conduct regular audits to maintain data integrity and quality assurance. Stay updated on advancements in health information technology and recommend improvements. Skills Able to provide effective leadership Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices. Experience with managing medical records in a healthcare setting. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare professionals. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Working knowledge of HIPAA Working knowledge of
ICD10 PCS, ICD10
CM, CPT and encoder Ability to analyze data for reporting purposes and decision-making. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to health information management.
