What You Will Be Doing:
The Records Manager supports and maintains a high-quality records management program within the City Secretary's Office. This is accomplished by coordinating and processing Public Information Act (PIA) requests; managing city legislative documents; providing records management training to staff; monitoring and supporting the transition from paper to digital records; providing technical and research assistance to staff, legal counsel, and citizens; managing the off-site records storage center; assisting and participating in thepreparation of the departmental budget pertaining to records management; providing administrative support to the City Secretary and Deputy City Secretary; and assisting coworkers as needed. What You Bring To Us:
Requires specialized vocational, administrative, or technical training beyond high school, which may be obtained through college, technical, or business programs, up to and including an associate's degree or relevant certification. Four (4) years of work experience in a comprehensive records management program or equivalent. Must be available to work evenings after regular business hours. Certified Records Manager certification is highly desirable. Texas Registered Municipal Clerk certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of Laserfiche Records Management software is highly desirable. Knowledge of GovQA Open Records (FOIA) Management System software is highly desirable You work for the greater good of the City and live the values every day.
