Addiction Technician 201 Mariarden Road, Dadeville, AL 36853 From $11 an hour - Full-time From $11 an hour - Full-time Addiction Technician The Addiction Technician will be responsible for conducting the group activities in a multi-bed medical detoxification unit. The person in this position will assist the Program Manager and client in finding placement for the client at discharge. The Addiction Technician will also be responsible for maintaining client records recognizing client privacy and other duties designated by the Program Manager or The Journey Corporate Office.

Special Skills Required:

The person in this position must have excellent communication skills and be non-judgmental when working with clients. Excellent computer skills are preferred.

Education/Certification:

A high school diploma or equivalent and/or certification in substance abuse counseling is preferred. Life experience can be substituted for degree upon review of the Program Manager.

Work Environment/Physical Activity:

The Addiction Technician position will require minimal lifting, pulling or pushing. The position may require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Climbing stairs could be as frequent or greater than five times per day.' '
