This role provides the opportunity to work closely with providers performing facial plastic surgery procedures, skin cancer reconstruction, advanced wound care, injectables, laser treatments, and other aesthetic services while delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities The role is designed to be the lead Medical Assistant in a specialty ENT and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery clinic, working directly alongside physicians and advanced practice providers to support in-office surgical, reconstructive, cosmetic, and dermatologic procedures. Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures. Provide hands-on assistance during facial plastic, reconstructive, dermatologic, and cosmetic procedures. Assist with patient care related to facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, facelift, neck lift, blepharoplasty, skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision, and burn-related treatments. Perform wound care, dressing changes, suture removal, and post-procedure patient care. Support non-surgical aesthetic services including injectables, chemical peels, microneedling, PRP therapy, laser resurfacing, and BroadBand Light (BBL) treatments. Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Triage patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for provider evaluation. Administer medications and injections as directed by a licensed provider. Educate patients regarding procedures, treatment plans, recovery expectations, wound care, and post-procedure instructions. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory testing as needed. Coordinate follow-up care, referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills as directed. Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation within the electronic medical record system. Serve as a compassionate patient advocate, helping patients feel comfortable throughout surgical, reconstructive, and cosmetic treatment journeys. Preferred Experience Surgical, dermatology, ENT, plastic surgery, facial plastics, cosmetic medicine, reconstructive surgery, or burn care experience. Experience assisting with in-office procedures and minor surgical cases. Wound care and post-procedural patient management experience. Familiarity with cosmetic injectables such as Botox®, Dysport®, Restylane®, Juvederm®, Revanesse™, or similar treatments. Experience supporting laser, microneedling, PRP, chemical peel, or aesthetic skincare procedures. Experience caring for cosmetic, skin cancer reconstruction, scar revision, or facial trauma patients. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification required. Minimum of three (3) years of direct patient care experience. Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills. Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach to care. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty clinic environment.
