• Full-Time Days, 36 hours per week.

+$2.50/hr for weekend shifts. Boulder Community Health is seeking a Trauma Tech that supports nursing in the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department. Provides direct patient care, clerical support, order entry, stocking and unit supplies, and patient transportation.

• Medical Terminology class preferred
• Pre-hospital or trauma tech experience preferred
• Colorado certification required. National EMT-B licensure is accepted upon application, but Colorado certification is required prior to working within the ED department.
• BLS certification required through American Heart Association
• IV certification required

• Copy of High School or higher-level degree diploma or transcript required for point of care testing Responsibilities
• Tasks as delegated by the RN include but not limited to: stocking, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG, wound care, dressings etc.
• Prepare, alphabetize and file paper portion of ED charts for medical records.
• Understands and runs Laboratory instrumentation.
• Performs Laboratory tests and Procedures as directed.
• Assists RN with Major Trauma.
• Assesses patients according to department standards.
• Initiates IV access according to standards.
• Performs Acts in accordance with the Rules Pertaining to EMS Practice and Medical Director Oversight.
• Assures stocking and supplies in areas assigned.
• Participates in maintaining a neat and clean environment.
