If so, we'd love to hear from you! We are seeking a Health System Technician to serve as the vital connection between our clinical teams, information technology, and health information systems. In this role, you'll help ensure our electronic health record (EHR) systems operate efficiently, support healthcare providers with technology solutions, and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.
Pay Range:
$20.97-$26.74 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Non-Exempt Requirements As a Health System Technician, you will: Provide frontline technical support for clinicians using electronic health record (EHR) systems, including Meditech and PCC, minimizing workflow disruptions and resolving system issues. Troubleshoot clinical software, hardware, interfaces, and application issues while collaborating with internal IT teams and third-party vendors. Coordinate support requests across multiple ticketing systems and ensure timely issue resolution. Assist with software implementations, upgrades, system testing, and technology enhancements. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows and operational efficiency. Develop training materials, user guides, and standard operating procedures for healthcare applications. Train and support clinical staff on new software, system updates, and best practices. Maintain electronic file transfers, interfaces, uploads, and downloads between EHR platforms and external systems. Evaluate data management processes to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other applicable privacy and security regulations. Serve as the liaison between clinical staff, Health Information Management (HIM), Information Technology, and software vendors. Assist with healthcare data analysis and reporting to support quality improvement and informed decision-making. Document technical issues, resolutions, and system changes accurately and thoroughly.
Minimum Required Education/Experience :
High school diploma required. Associate's degree in health information technology, Health Information Management, Computer Information Systems, Network Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills :
  • Working knowledge of electronic health record systems and healthcare workflows.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy and security regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Ability to analyze system issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and support users of varying technical skill levels.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical staff, IT professionals, vendors, and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintain accurate and secure health information.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians or others in a professional manner.

Necessary Special Requirements :
Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to a tuberculosis testing.
