Summary:
To provide basic life support care to patients in the prehospital and the emergency department settings. Competent understanding of EMT or AEMT level emergency medicine with ability to deliver patient care in a sophisticated and intelligent manor.Required:
High School graduate. Connecticut EMS certification or licensure equal or greater than Emergency Medical Technician required. 2 years recent equivalent field experience working with Paramedics in a urban, 911 high volume system.Minimum Experience:

Must have exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and take control of chaotic situations while establishing treatment and situational priorities.Must maintain at all times:
Connecticut EMS certification or Licensure equal or greater than Emergency Medical Technician, and BLS/CPR 'certification'. Preferred certifications included; PHTLS, PEPP, GEMS and CEVO (or similar emergency vehicle operator�s course). Must maintain a valid driver's license.Working Conditions:
