Kennel Technician

Job requirements: Be reliable and able to work as a team Provide assistance to our Veterinarians and Technicians. Take pets' weight and other vital signs upon arrival. Provide low stress patient restraint during procedures and examinations. Adhere to hospital's safety and wellness regulations. Observe patients for obvious signs of health concerns and report to veterinarian or senior staff. Prepare patient meals, sanitize patient cages and bedding, and maintain litter boxes. Safely walk dogs in the hospital and boarding Clean out enclosures Administer basic medications to boarding pets Safely handle cats in boarding/hospital Bathe dogs Keep up with the day's laundry Help keep the clinic clean and tidy Help restock pet food Be able to lift 40 pounds on own Be able to work weekends and holidays Help front desk take food/meds/pets out to client's vehicles

Education:

High school or equivalent: (required)
