Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate, detail-oriented Med Techs to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will support residents and patients with diverse needs, from memory care and dementia support to hospice and acute care. As a Med Tech, you will play a key role in ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for those under your care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through dedicated caregiving and clinical support. Duties Assist licensed nursing staff by monitoring vital signs, recording medical information, and supporting patient mobility and hygiene routines Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including oral medications, injections, and tube feedings Support residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while respecting their independence and preferences Document all patient interactions and medical procedures using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner with precision and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior related to dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments to the healthcare team promptly Assist with medical procedures requiring anatomy knowledge such as catheter care or wound dressing changes Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all caregiving activities Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans focused on senior care, memory care, hospice support, or disability assistance Support discharge planning and home care services by providing education to patients and families on medication administration and health maintenance Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic nursing practices Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Proven ability to work compassionately with people with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's disease Familiarity with hospice care principles and memory care strategies is a plus Strong caregiving skills developed through working in senior or community-based healthcare settings Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards for handling sensitive medical records and patient information Ability to perform tube feeding procedures safely and competently when required Experience supporting patients with disabilities or chronic conditions in acute or long-term care settings Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care that enriches lives!
