We are hiring one full time position. Prior experience a must, certifications, specialties, and college are a plus. The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for ensuring a structured, safe, clean and secure program environment; establishing and maintaining clear behavioral expectations and positive role-modeling within established guidelines for young men ages 13-35 in a residential substance abuse treatment program. This position is expected to perform with a high degree of autonomy and as a well-integrated member of the team.

• Account for the whereabouts of each student at all times by conducting hourly head count sheets and overnight head check and recording the results.
• Provide crisis intervention when needed. Record significant issues in the staff log.
• Ensure that all program and therapeutic activities occur as scheduled, and that they start and end on time in addition to meals and lights out.
• Teach and ensure students follow through in carrying out daily living skills including maintaining personal hygiene, keeping personal areas clean, participating in group dining and clean-ups, etc, in accordance with student manual.
• Perform extensive property searches and physical searches of students, especially those returning to the facility.
• Complete incident reports within required time frames and document notification to proper authorities in the event of student elopement or other incidents.
• Assist and monitor visitors to the milieu area of the facility.
• Monitor students who are prescribed medications take them as instructed and that Medication Administration Records accurately reflect compliance or noncompliance.
