Job Description

Behavior Health Tech Manager Salary:
$55,000-$60,000 annually (based on experience) Here's Help is seeking a Behavior Health Tech Manager to lead and supervise Behavioral Health Technicians within our residential substance abuse treatment program serving adolescents and adults. This is a hands-on leadership position , not a traditional office role. The Behavior Health Tech Manager is expected to be actively involved in daily residential operations, provide coaching and support to staff, ensure client safety, and maintain a structured therapeutic environment. The successful candidate must be willing to step in and provide direct shift coverage when staffing shortages, emergencies, or unexpected call-outs occur. Key Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and support Behavioral Health Technicians across all shifts Develop schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development Monitor daily residential operations and program quality Respond to crises, behavioral incidents, and operational concerns Promote trauma-informed, client-centered care Ensure compliance with agency, licensing, and documentation requirements Collaborate with clinical and administrative leadership Foster a positive culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and client success Provide direct shift coverage when necessary to maintain safe program operations Qualifications High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, juvenile services, or human services strongly preferred Strong communication, crisis intervention, and organizational skills Ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies and challenging situations Schedule & Availability Exempt position Flexible schedule required Must be available for evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight coverage Expected to respond to staffing emergencies and provide coverage during unexpected call-outs when necessary This position is not limited to a standard Monday-Friday schedule and requires flexibility to meet program needs Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Professional development and training opportunities Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families affected by substance use disorders
