Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Med Tech/Caregiver for the 11-7 Shift to join our team during overnight hours at our memory care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care, ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The Med Tech/Caregiver will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver personalized care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Responsibilities Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support for residents. Monitor and record vital signs and medical conditions using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including tube feeding and catheter care when necessary. Observe residents for changes in behavior or health status and communicate findings promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers. Assist with medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Support residents during transitions between activities or environments, fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety protocols aligned with assisted living and hospice care standards. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures such as vital signs monitoring and medication administration. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), or equivalent is preferred; relevant caregiving experience is essential. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members in a respectful manner. Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion while maintaining professionalism in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
