The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in assisted living, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medication administration, patient care, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, dementia, and hospice care. Duties Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff. Assist with daily living activities and provide compassionate caregiving support. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation purposes. Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety standards. Provide support for tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical needs as required. Engage with residents in meaningful ways to promote their emotional well-being. Experience Candidates should possess the following experience or skills: Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings. Familiarity with working with people with developmental disabilities and providing memory care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring. Experience with medication administration and understanding of related protocols. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for effective medical documentation. A background in caregiving or senior care is highly desirable. Experience in acute care settings is a plus.
