Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CNA (active certification) for our Patient Care Technician opening. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides clinical and patient support services within a multi-specialty physician medical practice. This position assists physicians, mid-levels, medical assistants, and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. The PCT helps ensure efficient patient flow, patient comfort, accurate documentation, and compliance with clinical and safety standards. Duties 1. Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and record vital signs, height, weight, medical history updates, medication lists, and chief complaints accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). 2. Assist with basic patient care activities, including mobility assistance, positioning, specimen collection support, dressing changes, and preparation for examinations or procedures as directed by certified clinical staff. 3. Prepare treatment rooms and set up equipment and supplies. 4. Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in accordance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and safety standards. 5. Accurately document patient information within the EMR system. 6. Provide courteous and compassionate customer service by answering patient questions and reinforcing instructions provided by clinical staff. 7. Collect, label, transport, and process specimens according to practice protocols and monitor inventory levels of clinical supplies. 8. Support efficient clinic operations by preparing rooms between patients and assisting with maintaining appointment flow. Experience Current or recent previous experience in an outpatient clinical setting. Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
