LIFT TECHNICIAN PRN

Position Highlights:

The Lift Technician transfers and repositions patients utilizing appropriate equipment and in accordance with Moffitt's mission, vision and values. The Ideal Candidate Has direct patient care experience Has experience with complex/dependent patient lifts/transfers Has experience in utilization of lift equipment

Responsibilities:

Works with Registered Nurse and / or nursing assistant to turn, lift, or transfer patients. Inventories, cleans and maintains lift equipment. Removes equipment from service if in need of repair (clearly labeling the equipment in need of repair) and informs the injury prevention coordinator of the needed repair. Assists Injury Prevention Coordinator in providing education, instruction, and training on safe patient handling, utilization of lift equipment and techniques for moving or transferring complex dependent maneuvers when indicated. Completes daily reports on all lifts / transfers and provides monthly data to Injury Prevention Coordinator.

Credentials and Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED 6 months' experience in customer service or customer facing role in healthcare, hospitality, retail or related industry. Demonstrated computer proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment Current valid BLS Certification
