Pulmonary Dept. Full time Days 7am-7pm The Pulmonary is an expanding unit. The clinical staff on Pulmonary work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to provide top-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues. In the state-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurse provides high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Responsibilities The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. •Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios• Qualifications Education H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred Work Experience No experience required 1 year of patient care experience Preferred Licenses and Certifications BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred Certification from a Patient Care Technician program
