Your expertise will support emergency response efforts across diverse settings, ensuring patients receive timely and effective treatment. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing essential pre-hospital medical care to patients of all ages. Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history collection. Manage airway obstructions and administer oxygen therapy to stabilize patients during transport. Execute critical care procedures such as venipuncture, medication administration, and injection techniques when necessary. Operate emergency medical equipment (DME) and utilize aseptic techniques to ensure safe patient care. Transport patients safely to hospitals or trauma centers while maintaining continuous monitoring of their condition. Communicate effectively with hospital staff, triage teams, and first responders to coordinate seamless patient handoffs. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, vital signs, and treatment interventions following protocols. Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy and physiology knowledge to inform accurate assessments and interventions. Drive emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and heavy lifting protocols during patient extrication or equipment handling. Skills Proven EMT experience with a strong foundation in emergency medicine practices. Critical care experience within hospital settings or Level I/Level II trauma centers enhances your ability to handle complex cases. Expertise in airway management, vital signs monitoring, and patient assessment techniques. Familiarity with hospital procedures such as triage, physical examinations, and medical terminology. Ability to perform venipuncture, medication administration, and injection techniques accurately and aseptically. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and DME usage essential for effective patient care delivery. Experience in critical care transport environments requiring swift decision-making under pressure. Valid driving license with a clean record; capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with urgent care scenarios. Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in high-stakes situations.
