In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care within assisted living, nursing home, hospital, and home care settings. Your expertise will support residents and patients with diverse needs, including those requiring specialized dementia, Alzheimer's, memory, and hospice care. As a Med Tech, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate medical documentation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and seniors alike. Duties Assist nursing staff by preparing and administering medications following prescribed protocols using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support ongoing patient assessments Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions in memory or hospice care settings Support patients with activities of daily living such as tube feeding, catheter care, and mobility assistance while ensuring their comfort and safety Document all medical procedures accurately in medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards Assist with medical procedures involving anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding to ensure proper patient care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous Familiarity with hospice care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Ability to perform clinical tasks including vital signs measurement, catheter care, tube feeding assistance, and medication management Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and security of patient information Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional senior and medical care!
