JOB SUMMARY
Provides patient care activities under the direction of Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities: High school graduate or GED preferred.
Completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant program OR be listed as having passed CNApetency testing on the Iowa Direct Care Worker registry. May be certified as a medic or Combat Lifer (through military duty) or have EMS certification as a base provider.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
Ability to read andmunicate effectively in English.
High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
Effective verbal and nonverbalmunication skills required.
Must work effectively as a member of a team.
Previous acute or long-term care experience preferred.
Technical and critical thinking skills required to perform duties.
