Job Description

at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, United States Job Description Ortho/Neuro/Peds Unit is a 30-bed medical, surgical, pediatric specialty unit. Ortho and Neuro programs in ONP are Rush Copley Strategic Initiatives. We are a part of the Center for Joint Reconstruction and Replacement Program and Primary Stroke Center. Our 6-bed pediatric population is predominately medical with respiratory illness and is treated by pediatric-trained nurses. RN retention rate at ONP is the highest among other inpatient units with excellent nursing skill mix and customized new employee orientation. Applying for a nursing position in ONP does not require pediatric experience.
Position Summary:
The Patient Care Technician performs a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Technician demonstrates the ability to care for patients of all ages in the clinical setting.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:
High school diploma/ GED preferred. +
Certifications:
CPR Required + CNA Certification Preferred +
Special Skills:
Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable +
