This vibrant role offers an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate, high-quality care to children and adolescents in various healthcare settings. As a Pediatric CNA, you will be instrumental in supporting patient comfort, safety, and well-being while working alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a positive environment for young patients during their most vulnerable moments. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to make a meaningful difference in pediatric care while gaining valuable experience across diverse clinical environments. Responsibilities Assist with daily patient care activities including bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility support tailored specifically for pediatric patients Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, accurately documenting all findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medical procedures by preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques, and ensuring patient safety during treatments like catheter care or medication administration Collaborate with nurses and physicians to implement individualized care plans for children with diverse needs including those with developmental disabilities or requiring specialized memory or dementia care Provide emotional support and comfort to young patients and their families, fostering a nurturing environment during hospital stays or outpatient visits Assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper positioning to prevent injury or discomfort Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to safeguard patient confidentiality and promote a safe clinical environment Requirements Valid CNA certification with pediatric-specific experience preferred; candidates with long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home backgrounds are encouraged to apply Demonstrated experience working with children in settings such as hospitals, clinics, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS) certification required Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting with Hoyer lifts and assisting with mobility needs of pediatric patients Compassionate demeanor combined with excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children of all ages and their families Prior experience in acute care, ICU, emergency medicine, or behavioral health settings is highly valued for this role Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact the lives of children and their families.
