Pay Range:
$18.00 - $25.20 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital is seeking an Emergency Dept. Technician, ED Tech. The ED Tech II, under the direction of a registered nurse, assists in the care of patients by performing triage, registration, basic lab tests, EKG's and related routine, non-clinical nursing care. Able to obtain data and evaluate care needed and provide appropriate documentation relative to patient condition and care given. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment.Position Specifics:

O'Fallon, IL o Compensation aligned with your experience Education Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or related vocational training is required. Experience Qualifications 6 months of experience in an acute setting patient care role is required. 6 months of experience in emergency trauma care is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic, active enrollment in EMT Paramedic program with IV training completion or CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification is required.
