Job Description

Greenwood 747 E County Line Rd 747 E County Line Rd Greenwood, Indiana 46143 The Immunization Program Clinician is a RN, LPN, or CMA who seeks to protect the community from vaccine-preventable diseases by providing immunization services to the general public. The nurse assesses the immunization status of clients, administers vaccines, and educates clients and caregivers about immunizations.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Schedule:
PRN, hours are not guaranteed and you would be scheduled based on clinic needs This position will be working at different locations in Marion, Morgan, Johnson, and Hamilton county. Administer vaccines, drawing vaccine according to manufacturers' instructions and administers to the patient using safe and proper techniques and a system of double checks. Provide patient care at the on-site and off-site clinic departments in accordance with established policies. Document patient immunization including but not limited to immunization type, date, and refusal of vaccination. Perform emergency response duties, consistent with training provided and in accordance with Hospital policy, including epinephrine administration during an anaphylaxis reaction. Transport biologicals, sharps, and other required supplies to clinic sites safely and securely. Review protocols and age-specific vaccine requirements prior to the opening of the clinic.
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required Associate's degree (for LPN and RN only) required CPR certification required 1 year of Nursing/Patient Care and Pediatrics experience preferred
