Job Description

Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus 3500 Franciscan Way Michigan City, Indiana 46360 At Franciscan, our Imaging Assistant is responsible for assisting technologists with patients during various procedures and processes, ensuring patients have a pleasant and efficient experience. The Imaging Assistant may, also, help with film processing, answering patient questions, and performing various reception, filing, and clerical tasks under the direction of Imaging leadership.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Monday - Friday 3p-11:30p Assist radiologists to communicate reports to patient care units, referring physicians, and emergency department. Assist with delivery of STAT results to order providers. Cross train in related areas, to assist the technologist and to maximize department efficiency. Document patients in EPIC; transcribe orders into EPIC and link orders with the visit. Manage and coordinate the release of information to patients. Take requests, and make CD copies for physicians, patients, and various departments. Assist non-ambulatory patients with travel through the department and health center, utilizing transport carts and wheelchair patients, as required. Qualifications Required High School Diploma/GED 1 year Radiology Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
