Job Description

Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Acute is looking for a Full-time Patient Care Technician. Full-time position available. Evening and weekend shifts. Rotating holidays required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist nursing staff with duties in Acute care, ER, and outpatient.
  • Quickly and courteously acknowledge requests, respond to duties, demonstrate proper phone etiquette, and foster communication within the department.
  • Communicate effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, visitors, and facility staff; play an integral role in communication across the continuum of care.
  • Ensure that patient rooms are ready for admission.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Verify that medical records contain complete and accurate patient demographic information, patient identification, and registration in the medical record, including appropriate level of care.
  • Ensure that patient records and charges are complete and prepared for Health Information Management's (HIM) review.
  • Follow written policies and procedures as established.
  • Assist with inputting data for the department's quality measures.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Candidate must be adaptable and a great team player.
They would have to take instruction well with a positive attitude.
