Full Job Description Patient Care Technician West Wichita Family Physicians Location:
Wichita, KS, 67212 We are a family-oriented company that supports you, your family, and your work life balance. As a growing practice we are seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The ideal candidate will take and record vital signs, collect specimens for laboratory testing, assist with patient mobility and transfers, ensure patient safety and comfort at all times, and maintain a clean and organized patient care environment. On-the-job training will be provided for EKG's, audiograms, and visual testing.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse Collect specimens for laboratory testing Assist with patient mobility and transfers Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment Perform EKG's, audiograms, visual testing (on the job training) Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a healthcare setting Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program or equivalent training/experience The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
