Job Description

Health Technician•Occupational Health | Baton Rouge, LA | $20/hr. Medical Edge Recruitment has an immediate opening for a Health Technician to support an on-site occupational health clinic at a major refinery in the Greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. This position plays a critical role in supporting workplace health and safety initiatives, including injury care, screenings, testing, and regulatory compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational health, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

PM Attendance Requirement:
Candidates must call or text if running late. Responsibilities Support the site medical clinic with work-related injury evaluations and follow-up care Perform regulated drug and alcohol testing Conduct hearing conservation testing Complete respirator fit testing Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT) Obtain vital signs and health screening measurements Perform vision testing Conduct urine dipstick testing Perform EKG testing Complete specimen collection and documentation Utilize FormFox for occupational health documentation and compliance Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance Required Skills & Certifications DOT Certified Drug & Alcohol Collection Certification Certified in Drug & Alcohol Collections (A&D) Phlebotomy experience Hearing Testing Respirator Fit Testing Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) EKG Administration Vision Screening Vital Signs Assessment Urine Dipstick Testing FormFox Experience Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Health Technician, Occupational Health Technician, Medical Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Occupational Health experience within the last 2 years Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work independently in an industrial occupational health environment
