Friday-Sunday, 36 hours, 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am. The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 6 is a 23-bed medical floor, with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry monitoring. Nelson 6 is a dynamic acute care/telemetry unit that exemplifies award-winning patient care and interprofessional collaboration. Our inclusive Clinical Care team partners with physicians, rehabilitation therapies, care management, and support staff to provide exemplary patient care to diverse patients with complex co-morbidities. The service provides care for a multitude of medical diagnoses including patients presenting with heart failure, liver failure, respiratory failure, and end stage renal disease. Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as contributing members of the healthcare team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.

Johns Hopkins Hospital:
A Hospital of Possibilities Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma. One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience.
Licensure/Certifications:
Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required. Current CPR certification

Salary Range:
Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
