- Company Description
- Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George's County, UM Capital Region Medical Center is a new state-of-the-art regional medical center dedicated to providing improved access to primary and ambulatory care services.
- Position Summary
- Under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or physician, the ED Technician II assists in patient care by performing triage, registration, basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and related routine, non-professional nursing care. This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and current CNA certification.
- Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Provide safe, effective, timely, and efficient care to assigned patients under licensed nurse supervision.
- Documentation
- Accurately document patient activities of daily living (ADLs), vital signs, weights, dressing changes, suctioning, and other care activities. Maintain unit records including admission, transfer, discharge logs, and interventions. Support clerical duties such as placing orders, retrieving information, and transcribing physician orders.
- Supplies and Equipment
- Assess and procure necessary supplies; stock patient care areas and emergency equipment.
- Customer Service
- Greet patients and visitors courteously and professionally, maintaining eye contact and using respectful communication.
- Commitment to Co-Workers
- Offer assistance to colleagues and other departments as needed. Take responsibility for problem-solving and meeting deadlines. Address conflicts directly and respectfully; seek help if unresolved. Respect others' time by attending meetings punctually and communicating absences. Provide status updates to ensure workflow continuity during absences.

- Maintain respectful, courteous, and professional communication at all times.
- Self-Management
- Adhere to hospital dress code and wear identification badge visibly at all times.
- Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation:
Pay Range:
