Job Description

Job Overview Join Fernald Field Dragway's dynamic Safety Team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where you will be at the forefront of patient care during critical moments. In this vital role, you will provide immediate medical assistance, assess patient conditions, and deliver essential treatments in diverse, motorsports environment. Your expertise will help save lives, stabilize patients, and ensure seamless communication with healthcare facilities. We are seeking energetic, dedicated professionals committed to delivering compassionate care with precision and confidence. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing rapid assessment and intervention to patients in need of urgent medical attention Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history collection Administer basic life support (BLS), medication administration, injection techniques, airway management, and other critical interventions as needed Operate emergency medical equipment (DME) such as ventilators, monitors, and IV supplies with proficiency Ensure proper documentation of patient care activities, including vital signs, treatment provided, and relevant observations in compliance with protocols Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like venipuncture and injections to prevent infection risks Safely transport patients to healthcare facilities such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers while monitoring their condition en route Collaborate effectively with hospital staff during handoffs, providing detailed patient assessments and treatment summaries Drive emergency vehicles responsibly while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards; perform heavy lifting when necessary during patient transfers Qualifications Valid EMT certification with current licensure; prior EMT experience strongly preferred Critical care experience and hospital experience are highly desirable for this role Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols Proven skills in airway management, vital signs monitoring, venipuncture, medication administration, and patient assessment Experience with triage procedures and working within Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers is a plus Strong understanding of DME usage and aseptic techniques for infection control Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and efficiently under pressure Excellent driving record with the ability to operate emergency vehicles safely Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with urgent care and emergency room environments Scheduling Requirements Must be available to work 9am - 8pm on the following dates: July 18, 2026, July 19, 2026, July 25, 2026 and July 26, 2026.
