Fairview is looking for a Health Unit Coordinator/Monitor Technician at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 56 hours per two weeks on the Day shift, 8 hour shifts, and every other weekend rotation. St. John's Hospital provides offers a warm, inviting atmosphere and caring, personal staff. Position:
Observes cardiac monitors, detecting and reporting abnormalities that may occur in the patients EKG status. Responsibilities Observes the cardiac monitors and analyzes, records, and documents the rhythm status for each monitored patient. Communicates information regarding rhythm status, problems, concerns, etc to the RN, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, as appropriate. Participates in meeting unit goals and objectives. Performs clerical duties as delegated by the Clinical Director or Charge Nurse. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Required Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent 1 year experience of Transcription/Unit Coordinator experience
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year EKG/Monitor Tech experience
