8:00 AM•4:00 PM Job Summary New Freedom Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dependable Substance Use Disorder Technician to support individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment in our Minnesota 245G-licensed program. This role provides direct client support, helps maintain a safe and structured environment, and works closely with clinical staff to support individuals in their recovery journey. Responsibilities Support clients with daily recovery activities and program participation Monitor client well-being and report concerns to clinical staff Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment Document client interactions, observations, and incidents accurately and timely Assist with client transportation as needed Encourage positive behaviors and recovery-focused routines Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality Follow all program policies, HIPAA regulations, and 245G requirements Attend staff meetings and required trainings QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED Valid Minnesota driver's license and acceptable driving record Experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or recovery support services Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centered care CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Why Join New Freedom Inc.?
