Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Restorative Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through personalized care and support. As a Restorative Aide, you will play a vital role in promoting residents' independence, mobility, and overall well-being by implementing restorative nursing techniques and assisting with daily activities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring long-term or post-acute care. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Implement individualized restorative care plans aimed at improving residents' strength, balance, and functional abilities. Monitor and document residents' progress, vital signs, and responses to interventions within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with nursing staff to identify residents' needs related to dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, or behavioral health challenges. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infections. Assist with transfers and positioning of residents in compliance with safety protocols and use of equipment like Hoyer lifts. Provide compassionate emotional support tailored to residents with disabilities or those receiving hospice or palliative care services. Experience Candidates should demonstrate experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals—including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers—and outpatient clinics. Prior exposure to medical-surgical units, emergency medicine, or pediatric care is highly valued. Specific experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Ideal applicants will have background knowledge in physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care, along with proficiency in vital signs monitoring and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is advantageous. Candidates with skills in phlebotomy, medication administration, infection control practices—including aseptic technique—and familiarity with medical terminology will excel in this role. Join our team committed to providing exceptional patient service through dedicated caregiving and comprehensive restorative support!
