Full-time Job Summary:
LifeCare Ambulance•Memphis/Mississippi is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician (EMT•Basic to join our team. As an EMT-Basic, you will provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured in emergency medical settings. You will respond to emergency calls, perform medical services, and transport patients to medical facilities while maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor, even in the most stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
Provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured Respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities Continue to give care as necessary during the transport of the patient to the hospital Maintain a calm, reassuring, and efficient manner in extremely stressful situations Perform emergency lifesaving procedures according to the methods in which you've received training Safely transfer patients onto and lift and carry stretchers into the ambulance
Requirements:
18 years of age or older High School Diploma or GED Mississippi Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT•Basic Valid Driver's License with an F endorsement and with a good driving record Current CPR card Consent to a criminal background check Ability to lift/push/pull at least 100+ lbs.
