Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of settings, including assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will support residents and patients with diverse needs, from routine medical procedures to specialized dementia and hospice care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex health conditions while working in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Duties Assist with daily patient and resident care, including vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing tasks Support patients with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance, hygiene, and feeding, including tube feeding when necessary Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Perform clinical procedures such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and specimen collection following HIPAA guidelines and safety protocols Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards Assist in medication management and administration under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in various settings including acute care and home & community care environments Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or equivalent; Med Tech certification required Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home health care is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care techniques Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred Familiarity with caring for individuals with disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those requiring hospice or memory care services Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, catheter care, medication administration, and tube feeding confidently Compassionate approach to caregiving with excellent communication skills and attention to detail Join our team to provide exceptional care that improves lives every day! $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
