Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality imaging exams by verifying patient identity, ensuring understanding, optimizing patient comfort and positioning, and evaluating images for technical accuracy. Manage departmental workflow by reviewing orders, supporting physicians and staff, maintaining awareness of ongoing exams, and assisting coworkers as needed. Utilize RIS/Cerner systems effectively, including accurate order modification, documentation, exam start/completion, and monitoring worklists. Demonstrate proficiency with PACS, digital dictation, and related imaging systems, resolving image exceptions and providing appropriate documentation for interpretation. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring correct patient identification, responsible conduct, and timely reporting and resolution of issues. Support clinical education by providing on-the-job training, guidance, and professional collaboration with students and instructors. Safeguard patient, student, and coworker confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA standards. Deliver age-appropriate patient care and maintain required competencies to ensure safe, comfortable, and understandable care for all age groups.

Salary:

Pay starts at $29.43 an hour and may increase based on work history/experience.

Job Requirements:

Diploma/Associate degree from approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) School of Radiology Technology required. Bachelor degree from approved American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) School of Radiology Technology preferred. 1 year of experience in Radiology is preferred. Current and maintained Medical Radiographer license for work state (RAD.NE or RAD.IA) required. Registered or Board eligible in Radiography (R) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
