Full Time Nights, 7p-7a, working every other weekend and rotating holidays Job Summary and Qualifications The Perinatal Techfunctionsas an integral member of the unit-based care delivery team by performing a variety of technical components essential to the ongoing delivery of quality patient care. To perform a variety of generic and population-specific technical activities which support the delivery ofoptimalpatient care whilemaintainingthe highest level of patient safety.Your responsibilities will include:
Perform direct patient care activities within the scope of LNA practice. Perform Operating Room Technician duties as needed Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth procedures and recovery Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures with knowledge of surgical preferences Sets up sterile table with instruments, sutures, blades, electrosurgical equipment, suction, and solutions as needed for vaginal or Cesarean Section delivery Counts sponges, needles, and instruments with RN prior to procedure, during, and before incision are closed Assists RN with LDRP set up for births and with turnover of patient rooms. Assistsproviders during circumcisions and births Stocks supplies in all areas, to include LDRP, Newborn Nursery, Triage, OperatingRoomand Medication room Obtains venous and capillary blood samples from patients for a variety of lab test Providing non-medicated care like dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices Keeping patient areas, operating rooms, and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency Managing supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to keep the team ready and protect patients through infection control Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team while promoting safety and quality efforts What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant New Hampshire LNA license required High School Graduate / GED required Perinatal scrub tech experience with c-sections required.
