Patient Care Technician I, Per Diem, Days - AMG Prof Pediatric - Orthopedics - Warren and Morristown

Job description Accountabilities Supports practitioners in providing direct patient care. Rooms and prepares patients for examination and treatment. Registers patients for check in Administrative duties Takes patients brief history and vital signs, documents timely in EHR. Maintains efficient patient flow and keeps patients informed of any delays. Monitors the patient's condition, recognizes abnormal vital signs, and promptly reports changes to the practitioner. Participates in daily huddles. Determines priorities of care and demonstrates flexibility in responding to patient needs while completing assignments. C ompletes all assignments unless otherwise directed by manager/lead. Works as a team member in meeting the unit needs. Seeks approval for reprioritization of more complex events deviating from original assignment. Performs activities as needed without supervision. C leans, stocks and sets up rooms for arriving patients. Ensures patient exam rooms are neat and clean. Provides emotional support by observing and responding to the emotional needs of the patient and their support network. Maintains log of all equipment sent to C linical Engineering for repair. Reports all lost or equipment unable to be repaired to practice manager. Keeps equipment clean and charged. Adheres to OSHA, Joint C ommission, Board of Health and AH standards. Observes and maintains isolation precautions.

Maintains a clean and clutter free work environment. Uses and stores equipment properly. Must work in a fast-paced environment with positive customer service skills.
