Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Russian-speaking Companion / Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide exceptional care and support to a female client in Princeton. This role is vital in fostering independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life through personalized assistance. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and fluent in Russian, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring home health and senior care services. Duties Provide companionship and emotional support to the client, engaging in conversation and activities in Russian to promote comfort and well-being Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and observe patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any concerns promptly Administer medications accurately following medical instructions while maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound management, and hospice or dementia-related care including Alzheimer's and memory care needs Assist with household tasks including light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately Collaborate with healthcare professionals by maintaining detailed medical records and updating care plans as needed Requirements Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on senior or disability care Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient safety protocols Certification as a CHHA or similar credential required; CPR certification is essential Experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's support, hospice care, catheter management, and use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts preferred Fluency in Russian is mandatory; excellent communication skills in English are also highly valued Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care; compassionate attitude with patience and empathy Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation; understanding of HIPAA compliance standards Join us to provide vital support that empowers individuals to live safely and comfortably at home.
