Full Job Description Accountabilities:
The essential functions of this position includes assisting patients with obtaining and recording vital signs, weights and heights Assisting patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, accommodations as needed performing EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring if needed Taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws, if needed observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN Examination rooms: Preparing examination rooms as needed
Documentation:
Documenting patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature Supplies and equipment: Preparing, organizing, and efficiently utilizing supplies and equipment Patient Care Technician must be willing and able to work with diverse group of patients, each with unique healthcare needs. They need to be attentive to detail and have excellent communication skills. maintaining phlebotomy equipment and inventory and all other duties as assigned.
Required:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred:
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center. 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred. Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months preferred BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire.
