Job Description

Who We Are Serenity Mesa Recovery Center is a life-changing, adolescent-focused sober living and recovery program under Healing Addiction in our Community (HAC), a mission-driven nonprofit right here in New Mexico. We support teens ages 14-21 as they rebuild their lives after detox or treatment, helping them grow through structure, support, and heart. About This Role As a Behavioral Health Tech I (BHT I) , you'll be boots-on-the-ground in a dynamic recovery setting supporting residents, keeping the space safe and positive, and helping young people navigate one of the most important transitions in their lives. You'll be part mentor, part guide, part accountability partner—and 100% essential to the team. What You'll Do Work side-by-side with our BHT team to ensure residents feel safe, heard, and supported Engage in hands-on help with resident routines, tasks, and activities Cook, clean, organize, and help maintain a safe, welcoming space Lead or support daily chores and weekend rec/community service outings Drive residents to school, appointments, work, and adventures (company vehicle) Participate in room/person searches as needed Help facilitate Family Day and pitch in to cover non-clinical shifts if needed Learn and follow medication crossover and drug screening (UA) protocols
What We're Looking For Education:
High school diploma or GED required; some college is a plus
Driving:
Clean 3-year driving record + valid NM license
Background/Drug Check:
Must pass CYFD Fingerprint clearance and be at least 21 years of age
Communication:
Strong verbal and written English skills
Work Style:
Team player, patient, calm under pressure, consistent
Energy Level:
Ready to engage with adolescents and stay actively involved
Bonus Points:
