Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled EMT-Basic to join our emergency medical services team. The EMT-Basic will be responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and non-critical patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and emergency procedures to effectively assist in patient care during transport to various healthcare facilities. Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols. Perform physical examinations to assess the condition of patients and determine necessary interventions. Manage airways effectively, ensuring adequate ventilation for patients as needed. Maintain a thorough knowledge of anatomy to assist in the assessment and treatment of patients. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection while providing care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in emergency situations to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of patients safely and efficiently. Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and any changes in patient condition accurately. Requirements Certification as an EMT-Basic from an accredited program. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to emergency care. Ability to perform physical examinations competently. Experience with airway management techniques is essential. Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing during shifts. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory. Current open positions Full time EMT 36 hours, equaling three 12
- hour shifts. 1
- 2 sports currently open. Per diem EMT At least one 12 hour shift a month. Per diem's are offered all open shifts first. 2
