Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, 7:30a - 4:00p SUMMARY The Senior Specimen Management Tech performs the Specimen Management Technician job accurately and timely, provides leadership as the go-to person for sample issues, billing issues, and workflow, provides training as necessary to processing staff, and assists in the daily department operations when a Specimen Management Tech, Lead or Manager is not available.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all the duties of a Specimen Management Technician Has a thorough knowledge of every area of the department and is the go-to person for staffing, workflow, registration and billing issues Has the knowledge to troubleshoot the imaging system and retrieve lost images as appropriate May perform more in-depth training as necessary May prepare specimens and paperwork for transfer, testing and result reporting done at the reference labs Demonstrates commitment to the RGHS Standards of Behavior consistently-STARS-Service, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect and Safety Performs other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and work experience 2 years SMT experience in all areas of the department with increasing responsibility preferred. Will consider AAS with 2 years SMT experience or BS in a related science Experience in data entry skills, medical terminology and understanding of billing issues

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.

14621 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
